Break and enter residence

Theft

On March 17, a man reported someone stole two 30lbs propane tanks off his travel trailer parked in the VLA. The man described the tanks as newer and both full, but had no photos of the tanks, serial numbers or other identifiers. The man also had no surveillance, no witnesses, and no suspects.

On March 18, a woman reported an Amazon package delivered to their doorstep was stolen from Lillooet Heights area. The woman provided proof of purchase and delivery provided by Amazon, but claimed the package was never received. She believed it was left at her doorstep and stolen thereafter. Complainant had no surveillance, and no suspects. There was insufficient evidence to investigate further.

Suspicious circumstance

On March 21 at 9am, a woman reported a small fire outside the Canada Post office. Police attended and spoke with a couple known to police, sitting on a bench near a planter that had obviously just been extinguished. The couple denied lighting a fire. Police advise the couple to move along.

On March 22 at 1:30am, a woman reported someone on her deck on Hollywood Cres. Police attended the area with the woman on the phone. The woman confirmed she could the police headlights. The member activated his emergency lights, which caused a mob of deer to dash away from the woman’s property. The woman was relieved and confirmed it was 100% deer on her deck.

Road check

On March 25 at 1pm Lillooet RCMP and Stl’atl’imx Police conducted a road check for valid drivers licence, insurance, and driver fitness on Hwy 99 near Fountain Valley Rd. Approximately 40 vehicles were checked. One violation ticket was issued for an expired licence, and one for driving contrary to restrictions.

On March 26 at 1pm Lillooet RCMP and Stl’atl’imx Police conducted a road check for valid drivers licence, insurance, and driver fitness on Seton Lake Rd near Main St. Approximately 90 vehicles were checked. No infractions found. The road check was concluded at 2pm.

Liquor act

On March 17, a man reported two people drinking alcohol on Main St. Police attended and located a man and his girlfriend with open alcohol, which was poured out. Police provided the couple a ride home to Bridge River.

On March 18 at 3:30pm, Lillooet RCMP made pro-active patrols at the Miyazaki house for open alcohol. Three people were locating sitting on the lawn area however, no open or closed alcohol was observed and all three people appeared sober.

On March 20 at 8:30pm police observed an intoxicated man laying on the sidewalk in the 600 block of Main St. Police were familiar with the man, who smelled of alcohol and was rolling around the sidewalk. The man was observed to have a cut on his head that was bleeding. EHS attended and transported the man to hospital where he stayed overnight.

On March 21 at 9:30am, Lillooet RCMP made pro-active patrols at the Miyazaki house for open alcohol. Four people were locating sitting around the ornamental jail cell, however no open or closed alcohol was observed and all four people appeared sober.

On March 22 at 12:30am, a man reported a woman throwing things at the Reynolds Liquor store. Police attended and located the woman, known to police, who was intoxicated slurring her words, unsteady on her feet, and had no where to go. Police arrested the woman and transported her to Lillooet cells to safely sober up over night.

On March 22 at 12:40am, Lillooet RCMP observed a man down on the sidewalk in the 600 block of Main St. The man was conscious on the ground, stating he had consumed drugs and alcohol that evening but he was unsure why he collapsed. EHS attended and transported the man to a local hospital for further evaluation.

On March 26 at 10pam an employee reported that a man had entered their store and laid down on the ground in the 600 block of Main St. Police attended and believed the man was intoxicated, but was barely responding to police. EHS attended and transported the man to a local hospital.
