On Tuesday May 31st, 2022 the Burns Lake RCMP began an investigation into a single vehicle collision involving a school bus in which some passengers were injured. 

The investigation, which included Transport Canada, BC Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement and RCMP Collision Analysts, has been concluded.

As a result of the investigation, one count each of Drive Without Due Care and Failing to Remain at the Scene of a Collision were laid against the driver under the provincial Motor Vehicle Act.

The Burns Lake RCMP would like to thank members of the public who came forward and provided information.
