One person has died following a house fire earlier this week in Whiskey Creek.
On February 22, 2023 at approximately 1:00 a.m. Oceanside RCMP and local fire departments responded to a fully engulfed residential structure fire in the 3800 block of Marples Road in Whiskey Creek. Unfortunately, one person was located deceased at the scene.
At this time, the cause of the fire and cause of the death of the person is currently under investigation by Oceanside RCMP in conjunction with the BC Coroners Service and the Office of the Fire Commissioner.
As this is an ongoing investigation, no further information will be released. An update will be provided once the investigation has determined the cause of both the fire and death of the person located at the scene.
