The bodies of the fishermen that went missing at Stump lake on June 19, 2023, have been recovered. See original release: 2023-06-21.
On June 29, 2023, the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team located the bodies of the missing fishermen and their boat. The BC Coroner Service has now taken conduct of the investigation.
"Our hearts go out to the families that are grieving after this tragedy". Says S/Sgt. Joshua Roda. "We want to thank the public for all the information they provided during the search".
